Led the league with 55 hits, 50 runs, 17 extra base hits and a 1.500 OPS. His .604 batting average was higher than anyone had attained in the previous 20 years of pickup baseball (with a minimum of 60 plate appearances in a season).

Cy Young Award / The Pedro Martinez Award for Excellence in Pitching

Pastor Kim

The crafty righty completed 7 of his 18 starts for the Dodgers, compiling a 15-3 record and 6.47 ERA. Opponents batted just .316, despite striking out at a rate less than half of that of hard throwers Geronimo and Zaviel.

Commissioner's Award For Spirit, Strategy, and Sportsmanship

A recognition award, for those who contribute greatly to the league. It is for those who play in a lot of games, provide coaching tips, encourage their teammates, carry gear, and organize. The Commissioner's Award goes to one of the many deserving of recognition for all the work they do to keep the league great.

Chris Coleman

CC brings home this award for the 7th consecutive season. In addition to his statistician and webmaster roles, CC took on the newly formed role of treasurer in 2021. It was also his first year with perfect attendance.

In keeping with the spirit of sportsmanship, CC has decided to remove himself from future ballots in order to give others a chance to win this award.

Ruben Molina Sr.

Ruben continues to be a workhorse on the mound. Committing only one error in 162 innings, Ruben proves he has more than just a golden arm, but a golden glove and golden heart to go with it.

Rawlings Gold Glove - Catcher

Zaviel Young

With arguably the best arm in the league, Zaviel also has cat-like reflexes behind the plate. He allowed only 5 wild pitches in 632 batters faced, a rate less than half of that of any other catcher with significant playing time.

Rawlings Gold Glove - First Base

Dave Konowitch

His 174 innings at the “other” hot corner were the most of any player at any position. His size, agility, and glove work allowed an already solid Dodger infield to make any throw with the utmost confidence.

Rawlings Gold Glove - Second Base

David Liotta

David brought legitimacy to a position often filled by replacement-level players, laying down a .927 fielding percentage and turning an impressive 7 double plays. Second base is no longer a position for girls in a co-ed softball league.

Rawlings Gold Glove - Third Base

Benny Suh

Benny laid it all out at the hot corner, often putting his body on the line to make spectacular diving plays. He sported a league leading .923 fielding percentage in 152 innings.

Rawlings Gold Glove - Shortstop

Sam Choi

Perhaps the biggest upset in this year’s awards, Sam beat out the heavily favored Mets duo of Alec and Thomas and the very solid Michael Salerno of the Rays. He may not be the most flashy, but he gets the job done.

Rawlings Gold Glove - Outfielders

Ryan Schlachter

Ryan had a flawless season in the outfield, committing no errors in 42 opportunities, nearly tripling the previous record for opportunities without an error. He also led the league with 5 outfield assists.

George Ramirez

George continued his stellar outfield play for his fourth consecutive gold glove going back to pickup baseball. He now patrols the Dodger outfield with cousin and fellow gold glove winner Jacob Molina, making it a dead zone for hitters.

Jacob Molina

Jacob continued his stellar outfield play that awarded him 5 gold gloves in pickup baseball. He now patrols the Dodger outfield with cousin and fellow gold glove winner George Ramirez, making it a dead zone for hitters.

Utility Man of the Year / The José Oquendo Award for Defensive Versatility

Admir Deljanin

A new award for a new league. Named in honor of the great utility man José Oquendo, who is honored with a plaque on a utility closet at the National Baseball Hall of Fame. It is fitting that the inaugural recipient, Admir, shares Oquendo’s #11 jersey number.

Most Improved/Comeback Player of the Year

Dave Konowitch

Debuting in 2020 with an OPS of .956 in six games, Dave gave the impression that he was nothing more than an average player. His outstanding 2021 campaign proved everyone wrong.

Rookie of the Year

Benny Suh

He is no spring chicken, but knows where the fountain of youth is. Perhaps the most diverse vote this year. Eight players received 1st place votes, but Benny received three times more than anyone else.
