Things to note while doing your best Wilson impression at two in the
morning because he’s right, bitch babies bitching for their bitch
stats!:
- Death Star, Third Reich, Los Gatos... all awesomely evil things must
come to an end.
- Game ball goes to Brian (who wasn’t even there!) for predicting a
Gato victory, thereby ensuring an embarrassing and dynasty-ending
defeat.
- On short rest (6 days between baseball!), Paul dominated Los Fallen
Gatos early and secured his first-ever league victory.
- Los Fallen Gatos loaded the bases in the top of the first with one
out only to strand all three runners. They wouldn’t score until the
fourth inning.
- The Irregulars then scored nine (9!) unanswered runs in their first
two innings at bat.
- The Fallen made three (3) errors in the fourth inning allowing (4)
four Irregular runs to score making it a 13-2 game.
- In the sixth and seventh innings, after some moderate wildness from
Irregular pitcher Patrick and extreme wildness from Irregular pitcher
Ricky (“where’s the helmet!?”), Los Gatos were threatening to rally.
- Reese made his first appearance of the season. He promptly made his
first disappearance of the season when he left during the middle of
the rally.
- Los Fallen Gatos left eighteen (18!) men on base at the end of innings.
- Live by the MF Doom, die by the MF Doom. The artist formerly known
as Afro Mike had a rough day on the mound and at the plate, and then
as most expected took it out on his baseball equipment.
- After the wildness from The Irregulars middle relievers, Christos
my-closet-is-full-of-orange-T-shirts-and-beige-cargo-shorts-exclusively-not-unlike-a-cartoon-character-
Plakas extinguished any last Gato hope by striking out five (5!) in
his three (3) inning save.
- Actually, El Gato put the nail in the Fallen’s coffin by staying in
the outfield for the top of the 9th to field and making a diving catch
against his own team! DTRT triple letter score.
- Congratulations to Roger for pulling off the rarely seen
reverse-Saltalamacchia when he tried to throw down to second after
warm-ups and threw it right at the pitcher.
- Everyone except Flynn missed his great rallying speech.
- Weird stat: No one on either team got more than 2 hits.
- True to their name, only Christos represented the Irregulars winning
team at Wendy’s. Did you guys know he went to Harvard on a full ride?
It’s true.
- Thomas made his league debut. Hoozah.
- Also if you haven’t seen it, look at Alvin’s line above.
