Matero hurt himself in the eighth sliding head first towards first base to unsuccessfully not ground into an inning ending double play. Adam also had a case of the ouchies so bad that he couldn't take his turn at bat in the ninth. Also The Walking Dead is a teevee show about the sixties band The Zombies or something.
It's the time of the season: Mike quietly celebrated the anniversary of his first appearance into the world on Friday, and Mangan had his birthday party after the game, hence the other team name.
Christos struck out a better for the 500th time in his career when he fanned Alvin to end the third inning.
For the second week in a row an intentional walk failed to lead to the desired results for the team on defense. Last week Sergio was given a free pass to load the bases with 1 out, leading to CCCC scoring a run on a fielder's choice to break the tie in the eighth inning. This week, with two outs and men on second and third with the game still within reach at 12-8 in the sixth inning, the hot hitting rookie Gabe - only hitting last in the lineup because he was tardy to the party - was given first base, setting the stage for Roger, the guy who had one extra base hit all of last season. The leadoff hitter promptly doubled, scoring all of the runners. Amazingly this was the first time the batter in front of him was intentionally walked, so Roger is officially 1 for 1 lifetime in "Oh no you did NOT just disrespect me" at bats.
Adam and Gabe continue to be too good for us. As long as they never hear about other leagues we should be fine.

Mike accidentally left his wallet at home, so technically he broke the law by driving without a license. He claimed that he stocked up on his usual pregame food and drinks (water, Gatorade, sandwich, steroids) at 7-Eleven, only to realize that he had no money to pay the items with.
We somehow managed to play without Wilson.
Mark called balls "boobs" and strikes "tits" while umpiring. Or maybe it was the other way around. Or maybe I shouldn't have said anything at all. Multiple choice!

I would like to add that I was injured after my second at-bat where I fouled a ball HARD off my ankle. My ankle is still sore, although not as cow-like as Alvin's canned-ham ankle!!
Roger, you failed to mention CCCC's great diving catch to rob Sergio of a bloop hit in the early going as Mangan screamed: "I SAID NO BLOOP HITSSSS...oh, great catch CCCC!!!"
You also forgot to mention how you kicked my double into RF leading to a bunch of throwing miscues (very out of character) and me scoring on the play in the latter innings.
Also, there was this pretty awesome 16-yearold chick getting finger popped in LF. Brian and I are both witnesses!
How the eff was JayTron hitless?! I feel like he was roping balls down the LF line all fuckin game!
Mangan:
Roger you neglected to mention my sick outfield assist, and the fact that I would have had two if Matero could have corralled my short hop.
Also I managed not to strike out, which breaks a streak of some many games.
The following people came to my party and are awesome: Matero, Jose, Stephan, Kevin, John B, and Cruzer and Lady Cruzer. The following people did not come and suck balls: Mike, Christos, Sergio, Slider, Mark. Matero came with his bad knee and Cruuuuz drove down from upstate for the SECOND time in a day. Awesome.
Also this is unrelated but I just learned that on Spanish Facebook it's called a "me gusta" button hahah.
