Notes from both ends of the doubleheader:

- The 2 kids that filled in continually berating 
Brian from 3b and SS and demanding that 
one of them pitch instead of him in the 
last inning was admittedly entertaining. 

 Mike hit a game winning, 2 RBI triple (or double) to give Team Cruzer 
an 8-7 victory in Game 2 of the doubleheader, giving Cruzer the sweep. 
As the entire team celebrated at home plate mobbing Mike as he 
was approaching home, a ball sailed just over their heads. 
Nobody has admitted to throwing it.

- Immediately after the game, Mike admitted to being happy. 
He then said he didn't like the Pharrell song "Happy." 
Then he discovered that the zipper on his baseball bag was broken.

- After all of the controversy over too many people potentially 
playing in the first game of the doubleheader, 
there was a manageable 19 participants, thanks to some 
flakes and an unexpected appearance by James. 
Game two was in danger of being compromised with too few players, 
until the two 17-year-olds joined in at around the 4th inning. Ditto Davy.

- Manly Men: Alvin caught 18 innings. CCCC played both games through injuries. 

-Roger held on to a controversial pitch for like, 
a really long time in hopes of getting the call reversed to a strike, 
while everyone was yelling at him to throw the ball back to the pitcher.  

- You forgot to mention Davy was powered by the shortest shorts known to man!

- Also, those kids berating Brian in the bottom of the 9th was awesome: 
"hey you need a closer?!"

- Um, as far as I knew the pitch was neither called a ball 
nor a strike the entire time I was holding it. 
And I stopped only after my pitcher gave up. And it was a strike. 

- You guys are so negative, those kids weren't berating me. 
In fact only one of them spoke at all. And he was cool- cooler than y'all.

- That's kinda' true. I was on second base and didn't hear them 
actually berate Brian beyond saying that the kid playing third 
had a great arm and could close. 
Fortunately, you bore down and finished the ninth strong and...oh, right. 

- Not being negative at all! They were great! 
And I definitely heard one of them tell Brian:: 
"hey, you need a closer?!"...perhaps he knew what was coming?!

- The other kid spoke also. 
He got mad at himself yelling that his swing was shit after he grounded out 
and didn't run to first.
