'sniffle, sniffle' for the Team MVP stuff, I'd split the non-existent trophy 10 ways because everyone on GAS did something that contributed to us winning. I would also like to extend thanks to everyone who made Saturday happen, from the car ride (where Mike and CJ were talking shit from Bronx to Queens) through the amazing ESC V, to the beerbq at the generous Mangan household. Kudos to Roger and the rest of Townsville for helping to make ESC V an event, not just a game. From the uniforms (which I thought were awesome) to Mike's homer in the 8th which came dangerously close to completely deflating my tremendously large ego, to graciously allowing us to celebrate and still lining up afterwards. It was all a blast, a day that I won't soon forget.

I should publicly extend my kudos to Wilson and team Ghetto All Stars. Wilson pulling a Jack Morris and going 10 innings will always be remembered and I am just glad the game didnt end on some controversial play, Joe and Tom got clean base hits in the 10th. GAS also showed some restraint by not having the victory parade and ring ceremony until after the barbecue. And I was blown away by my fellow teammates' uniforms. I didnt know how the idea would be received but particuarly Mangan and CJ were 110 percent behind it. CJ even told Afro Mike "you ARE gonna make a jersey" and before I finished the question "hey Mangan did you read my thing about the unforms?" one day after I posted the email he said "already made mine". Loved that. And Tim and Jay Cruzer who are rookies in this stuff were in on it too. That blew me away. AND AND Flynn took a 6:30am bus from D.C. to New York JUST to play this one game and then he went back to Maryland the next afternoon. Christos picking up myself, Flynn, Karen and Jackson despite us running 20 minutes late, Christos and I in the front barely speaking too excited and nervous about getting to the field. Jimmy's father not only umpiring but cleaning the plate and bringing Gatorades? Wow. Nicest patent lawyer I'll ever meet. I wish Townsville won the game but I cant complain, it was a lot of fun. To be a part of something that is bigger than myself and everyone else, damn son.
