Actually he had struck out as recently as April 24, 2010, but it still is a very rare occurrence. 

The Play Of The Game : Left fielder Christos robbed Jaytron of a hit in the bottom of the ninth on a diving catch that left players wondering how he didn't re-injure his wrist. 

The Budweiser Not Play Of The Game: With two outs in the top of the fourth, Kevin hit a routine pop-up to second base. Christos, the runner on second, hustled to third, never looking up at the play unfolding. The ball ended up dropping in, and Christos kept on running towards home plate, yelling "Oooooo I'm stealing" as a shocked Sergio uncorked a wild throw in the vicinity of home plate. Once Christos crossed home plate and the Lions cheered, he said "That was the THIRD OUT." Christos had assumed the ball was caught and only made an attempt towards home as a joke. Ha ha. 

- Kevin improved on his league-best personal win-loss record by playing for the Lions. He is sitting pretty in the catbird's seat at 11-4.

- Christos hadn't gotten his usual crewcut haircut and showed off his natural locks on Saturday, to the joy of everyone with a sense of humor.

- This was the first game of the season in which Mark did not play. There will be no pizza party, nor any joy in Markville for that matter.

- The Detroit Lions only committed one error the entire game.

- Jaytron made his pitching debut, tossing a scoreless and hitless inning. Roger made his first appearance on the mound since 2009, also not allowing a hit or a run in his one inning of work . Mike agreed to give up an easy three inning save on the statsheet just to see Roger pitch because he had "never seen him pitch." Not only had Mike seen Roger pitch before, he also caught him before. Roger didn't mention this and only remembers these facts because he recalls Mike at one point laughing from behind the plate and yelling, "I'm putting down signs like it matters!" 

- Mangan decided to join the game in the seventh inning. He went 0 for 1 with a strikeout

- Christos congratulated Stephan on his fiance being pregnant. Stephan thanked him and only a few minutes later admitted he was full of shit. 

- Sergio showed off his new haircut! And I thought gatos grow hair during the fall.

- Uncle Nick was listed on the Jaycorn scorecard as "Punto!!!" 

- The entire Jaycorn scorecard was full of epiphets (Gato, Punto!!!, Cruzer, Culo, Jaycorn, Slider/Picklegold, TYK, Terror, chuleta, Mangancon). 

- For probably the first time in league history, Roger had the most hits out of any player in a game. 

- Cruzer had a rough day. In addition to losing a pitching duel against Christos, Cruzer was involved in a four car accident while driving home after the game. Thankfully he is fine, and Bumblebee will never die.

- The Detroit Lions were named as such because of Christos repeated use of "comedy" in saying that Roger was only a fan because they're a good team now.
